Jessica (Jess) Kercher 🌟 - Vote for Jess HERE
After she watched her precious 2-year-old daughter Jade fight a rare and aggressive cancer diagnosis, Jess realised how important it is to support families facing cancer. Since finding Camp Quality’s mission, she has been supporting us for an amazing 10 years, bringing laughter, joy and, most importantly, hope to families to get through the cancer experience stronger - together.
The wonderful Jess Kercher! 💖
“Camp Quality helped me when I needed it most, as a 21-year-old single mum watching my 2-year-old baby girl fight for her life... While there are still children being diagnosed with cancer each day, I will continue to do what I can to raise much-needed funds so more families can have the support we did.”
Through her kind-hearted service to our mission, Jess has raised money to give hundreds of kids and families facing cancer the opportunity to receive support through Camp Quality programs. She hopes that, every time she shares her own heartbreaking story, she is giving another family out there much-deserved support as they go through the difficult trial of cancer.
Please vote for Jess to become the Westfield Woden Local Hero here! 💞
Louanne Johns OAM 🌟 - Vote for Louanne HERE
At only 14 years old, Louanne founded a support group to help feed South Australians in need. Since her first volunteering experience, she has devoted almost three decades to her mission to make a difference in the lives of kids facing cancer. Louanne has spent an amazing 12 years as Camp Leader at Family Camps, planning the fun-filled three-day events for families going through a child’s cancer experience.
The amazing Louanne Johns! 🥰
“I’ve always been interested in helping people less fortunate... I can’t do anything about the journey the Camp Quality families are on, I can’t do anything about the treatment, but I can give them some respite and some amazing memories for the family.”
Louanne has even devoted 15 years to fundraising with Camp Quality at the annual Cherry Ball Gala Dinner. As her list of volunteer activities grows, so does Louanne’s heart! She's such a super volunteer that she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to the community through Camp Quality South Australia.
Please show Louanne even more love and appreciation by voting for her to become this year’s Westfield West Lakes Local Hero here! 💕
