We're making an army of monsters and aliens, ready for space battle!
Join Camp Quality Puppets Alex and Mel to learn how to make your own monster and alien kids' craft characters with everyday recyclable materials. 👾 👽
To make your Monster and your Alien, you'll need:
2 toilet paper rolls
A paint brush
Small furry pom-poms
Thin foam or paper cut into shapes
A pair of scissors (get a grown up to join you if you're in preschool! 🥰)
👾 How to make your MONSTER:
To make your monster's body, paint a toilet roll with a craft paint colour of your choosing.
To make your monster's hair, use your pair of scissors to cut your paper or thin foam into a shape (you can also buy some pre-cut foam if you like). Push the foam into the top of the toilet paper roll, and secure it inside with a piece of sticky tape.
To make your monster's arms, wrap a pipe cleaner around the middle of the toilet paper and twist it in the middle.
To make your monster's eye, place a big dot of craft glue near the top of the toilet paper roll and stick a googly eye on top.
👽 How to make your ALIEN:
To make your alien's body, paint a toilet roll with a craft paint colour of your choosing.
To form your alien's antennas, fold a pipe cleaner in the middle and twist. Push the ends of the pipe cleaner into a V-shape, then stick it into the inside of the top of your toilet paper roll.
To make the alien's arms, twist two pipe cleaners together and wrap them around the middle of the toilet paper roll.
To make your alien's eye, place two big dots of craft glue near the top of the toilet paper roll and stick a small furry pom-pom on each dot.
Your kooky characters are ready for battle!
Who will win?
